October 10th, 2009 Posted in Mac World

When a windows user starts to use Mac OS X he will feel some difficulties with some of the basic things like creating shortcuts renaming files etc. Mac OS X is really providing several of these functionality in a different way.
Picture 1In Mac OS X it is very simple to rename a file or a directory. For renaming a file or a directory in Mac  first of all locate it in Finder and click once on that icon then click and hold the mouse button down on the file or folder name below it.
After about a second of holding down the mouse button the text will become editable and you can type over the filename.
Mac users can also click the file or folder, then press Enter to select the text box more easily.Once you have renamed a file, any aliases or shortcuts that you were using will no longer be able to locate the file. You will need to delete the old aliases, if any, and create new ones
